Role: This new Climate Solutions team is building a Research Operations team in Mumbai to oversee research reporting for our climate product suite. You will be part of a dynamic and strategically important team and support the development and implementation of climate-related research throughout its lifecycle. The Research Operations team is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the research process and oversees the planning and reporting. The Research Operations team collaborates closely with our research, quality assurance, and technical teams to bring a coordinated research process to life.

This role will report to the Operations Manager, who will work with the Business Intelligence Analyst to deliver high-quality technology solutions in a fast-paced environment. The analyst is expected to play a key role in improving digital operations as well as system and data analytics while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Climate Solutions Research Leadership Team for requirement gathering and documentation;
• Support the analytical needs of the team by developing interactive visualizations and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau;
• Work closely with the research team to deliver consistent and reconciled data, and to automate processes with appropriate QA checks;
• Understand system developments, make impact assessments, and deliver functional and technical requirements;
• Support the expansion of self-serve capability within the research team;
• Work on understanding specialized big data, creating and linking APIs, developing insights and graphical reports from the data, and supporting custom tool development as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Engineering with full knowledge of SDLC
• 4-6 years of relevant experience on data transformation or development projects
• Strong background in data analysis and transformation, databases (e.g. MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Jupyter notebooks) is preferable
• Good knowledge of visualization and dashboard design (ex. Tableau, Power BI) is required
• An inquisitive mindset with an ability to grasp the fundamentals of complex systems and processes, and to be able to explain and present them to senior leadership
• Good knowledge of quantitative analysis and presentation skills using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint) is preferable
