We have an immediate opening for a Data Management Analyst in our Pune India office. This is a hybrid role where a physical presence in the office will be required to engage in face-to-face collaboration among teammates.

The Data Management Analyst position is responsible for assisting with the implementation of the Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) using Alation’s SaaS client. Responsibilities include both functional and technical knowledge of the application.

Activities will include setting up source connections, configuring the tool, support in defining data standards, working closely with the business to identify data owners and data stewards. You will be a champion for the organization in the roll out of the catalog. You may be asked to prepare and deliver training. As sources are ingested into the Enterprise Data Lake, you will work with the business to gather data to populate the catalog.

The analyst will also be responsible to drive sustainable, operational excellence in the delivery and support of various Enterprise Information Management areas including Data Quality, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, Data Governance, and Document and Content Management.

As a member of a global team, they must have the ability to communicate effectively and build effective relationships with many various levels of the organization, especially key business partners, process owners, data stewards, and developers.

You must meet key Enterprise Architecture deliverables, project deliverables, as well as, performing the principal accountabilities listed below.
What you will do:

• Configure data sources for technical data ingestion
• Identify and define enterprise data domains and data entities across the spectrum of business applications
• Create data flow diagrams and integration diagrams
• Understand data migration requirements
• Identify and document business rules/logic to apply to data
• Driving excellence in the areas of optimizing services and work processes, improving quality and reliability, and lowering total costs
• Defining and implementing effective and efficient standards, support models and processes
• Working with business users to populate and define the Enterprise Data Catalog data and attributes

What we are looking for:

• Up to 5+ years of experience in Applications Development and/or Business Intelligence / Database work, with a focus on requirements analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge of an Enterprise Data Catalog in an Admin role to drive adoption
• Practical experience with Structured data
• General understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service delivery methodology
