Overview
The role of a Business Analyst is crucial in bridging the gap between the business and IT by using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports. As a fresher, the Business Analyst will play a key role in understanding business needs, conducting thorough analysis, and helping in the development and implementation of solutions to improve business operations and achieve organizational goals.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting market research and data analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Assisting in the documentation of business processes, requirements, and user stories.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Supporting the development and implementation of new processes and systems.
- Assisting in creating and maintaining project documentation and reports.
- Participating in meetings and workshops to gather information and provide updates.
- Assisting in testing and quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet business requirements.
- Contributing to the development and improvement of data analysis techniques and tools.
- Assisting in identifying opportunities for process and system enhancements.
- Learning and utilizing appropriate software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Supporting the identification and resolution of project issues and risks.
- Collating and presenting data in a clear and concise manner.
- Assisting in the preparation of recommendations and presentations for stakeholders.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures while executing responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of business analysis principles and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
- Understanding of project management concepts and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL queries.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively.
- Understanding of Agile methodology is a plus.
- Relevant internships or projects in business analysis field is advantageous.
