Business Analyst
Summary
At Balfour Beatty Construction in Dallas, Texas, we are seeking a Business Analyst with Business Intelligence experience to join our Data Integration IT team! The role will help our internal customers define optimal BI solutions, document detailed requirements, disseminate requirements to the development team and then test for accuracy and completeness.
Position Description
The BI Business Analyst will be responsible for leading the following priorities:
- Work closely with internal customers to design impactful visualizations that follow company standards.
- Document the detailed requirements and create test plans.
- Transition requirements to development team including offshore developers
- Communicate status to project stakeholders and manager.
- Test developed solutions for data accuracy and completeness to the requirements.
The Candidate Profile
- Working experience creating detailed requirements and test plans
- Working experience working with customers to help create impactful visualizations using industry best practices
- Familiarity or working experience with BI tools (preferably Power BI)
- Familiarity communicating requirements and verifying solutions with offshore developers
- Familiarity or working experience with SQL to help with data validation
- Excellent communication skills and well organized
Education and Knowledge
- Bachelor s degree in information systems, business administration or management
- Experience in interpretation of business needs from requests and designing effective solutions to improve efficiency, achieve better performance and make better decisions
- Able to manage multiple deadlines in a timely manner, prioritize multiple projects and provide status reports on open projects.
- Knowledge of facility management is a nice to have
