We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Introduction:
As a Business Analyst you will be part of the GNA team and will be responsible for requirement gathering and analysis of the project deliverables to support the expansion of the business and evolving business needs.
o Understand, document and deliver new Business requirements
o Work on enhancing existing business functions
GNA is a cross product margining service provided to mainly hedge fund clients. You will need to work closely with our business and operations users and be able to learn and understand how the margining methodology works.
What will you be doing?
The primary function of this role is to interpret requirements and support the end to end process for delivering business functionality requested by CMCV Operations by closely working with the key stakeholders, operations team and the development team.
- Rapidly learn applications in CMCV technology environment.
- Follow Agile process defined by CMCV IT.
- Production of clear and precise high quality functional specification documentation using standard Barclays tools.
- Provide detailed data analysis.
- Detailed process mapping – both business and systems.
- Assisting with identification of key business requirements and deliverables for production of business specification documents.
- Initial impact analysis and involvement in design process with development team.
- Ability to lead work streams, drive requirements forward and provide detailed instructions to the development team.
- Regular reporting of delivery against key milestones to project manager, proactive notification of risks and issues.
- Coordination with other business analysts both within the team and within other IT teams to ensure timely delivery of dependent functionality.
- IT functional testing of agreed deliverables.
- Follow Barclays values in all aspects.
- Able to demonstrate experience working on the full lifecycle of a project with a history of delivering successful complex projects.
- Experience working in an Agile development methodology environment (preferably Scrum/Kanban) & Atlassian suite of products: JIRA, confluence.
