This position provides general data analysis for the Covington Operations Department as assigned. This person will perform analysis of Covington Operations/Sterilization work flows and processes within the department. He/she will provide daily, weekly, monthly and as needed reports for the department and for departments outside of Covington Ops.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accounting Support

  • Coordinates and participates in the annual budget process for assigned departments.

  • Provides analysis of monthly Budget Reviews with departmental leaders.

  • Analyses of monthly spending, reviews with departments and anticipates future spending.

  • Provides detailed analysis for departmental spending at the request of management.

  • Track spending across multiple systems, including capital expense tracking

  • Supporting data analysis for Operations and Quality, EH&S, Maintenance and Covington Operations (Kitting, IQC, Rework, etc.) as needed

• Business Analytics

  • Analyzes and evaluates historical and future operations performance to actual demand, compares to future forecasts and provides variance information to appropriate operations managers/leaders through regularly scheduled meetings and by exception where appropriate.

  • Works with Supply Chain planning to investigate aging lots (where expected release of inventory/product is not met)

  • Maintains daily, weekly, monthly, annual operations reports as assigned. Reviews with operations leaders.

  • Supporting data analysis for Operations and Quality, EH&S, Maintenance and Covington Operations (Kitting, IQC, Rework, etc.) as needed

• Data Bases

  • Maintains Sterilization data bases as assigned. Distributes monthly reports to management as assigned.

  • ERP problem troubleshooting and partnering with IT resources

  • Sterilization data base and ERP system update support – includes testing and validation of test scripts

  • Spreadsheet validation and ongoing maintenance of spreadsheet validation

  • Migration of processes / spreadsheets from local folders / L-Drive to Sharepoint

• Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills, MS Excel, MS Word, Data Base applications, MS Minitab, and ERP system (JD Edwards, MFG-Pro, SAP, preferred)

• Detail oriented with ability to condense material to summary level presentations.

• Must demonstrate a moderate to high level of skill in the use of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheet and database management including the use of mathematical and statistical formulas, and pivot tables.

• Must work independently and can exercise sound business judgment and discretion in all matters and apply creativity to problem solving.

• Detail-oriented with very good organizational, interpersonal, written and communication skills and be adaptable to change.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong interpersonal skills required in the areas of verbal and written communications, customer focused, telephone courtesy, and professionalism

• An understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

• Strong analytical skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Engineering, Finance, Business, Science or similar field from four-year college or university.

• Data mining and analysis experience preferred.

• Some experience and/or training related accounting principles a plus.

• JD Edwards or other ERP experience is preferred.

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI tools is preferred.
