Summary: This position is responsible for supporting North American and Global Procurement activities, including synthesizing and reporting findings from data, systems, & processes that play a critical role in Procurement strategy. Develop/enhance our internal systems to provide our department with timely data to make cost effective business decisions. This role will be core to developing and implementing digital tools that add value to the business, as well as to managing the MDM (Master Data Management) strategy for the corporate purchasing department.
Responsibilities
- Support both North American and Global specific sourcing strategy, projects and initiatives to achieve business objectives.
- Responsible for review and entry of item master and branch/plant records in JDE, ensuring proper classification, standardization and accuracy
- Responsible for cleansing existing data for duplication, data entry errors and proper format
- Work with purchasing and plant personnel to clean data
- Obsolete inactive JDE item #’s
- Develop and support Cognos reports and Tableau Visualizations and Dashboards as needed to support the department; this includes report design, setup, validation, and publication
- Entry and maintenance of IBE records where applicable
- Data cleansing and item creation for JDE go-lives
- Work with purchasing systems manager on data cleanup for plants implementing Logility
- Liaison with Berry and supplier IT departments to implement supplier EDI
- Item creation, cross-reference for successful and efficient EDI implementations
- Assist with departmental training of new employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Business, Finance, IMS, Purchasing/Supply Chain preferred or 5 years equivalent experience.
- Thorough knowledge of JDE, Cognos, MS Office, supplier data, business intelligence tools, procurement processes, data mining.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial statements & reporting.
- High-level problem solving skills; analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to see big picture and implement solutions.
- Ability to work independently and drive ideas into results.
- Ability to communicate/present to multiple levels throughout organization.
- Ability to lead teams, document and present results, and implement projects.
- Ability to travel when and where required.
