You are a motivated student who is passionate about business analytics. You excel at collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to identify and monitor key strategic opportunities as part of BHG’s drive to continuously improve every facet of the business. You are a logical and analytical thinker and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you will perform complex data analysis in supporting strategic business needs and transform raw data into finished products.
We are looking for Business Analytics Interns to join our Summer 2023 Internship Program, where you will work both independently and as part of a team, with oversight from your Hiring Manager and the University Relations department. Summer Internships take place from May-August and require a commitment of 40 hours per week. With comprehensive training and supervision, you will gain valuable experience applying knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world problems.
What You’ll Do
- The Business Analyst Intern will connect data sources to our data warehouse and assist in writing scripts to analyze data, perform exploratory analysis, build explanatory dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders
- The ideal candidate should be an excellent problem solver and comfortable communicating effectively at any level
- Use multiple sources of information, including stakeholder views, to develop solutions and recommendations with the help of Sr. Analysts
- Assist in identifying opportunities for improvement, form hypotheses, and propose ideas to drive strategy enhancements and optimization
What You’ll Need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field
- Self-starter, ambitious, and eager to learn
- Proficient in SQL (MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle SQL)
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Advanced experience with Pivot tables and Formulas with the ability to show results in a graphical manner
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Intermediate experience in data visualization and dashboarding [PowerBI (preferred), Tableau, etc.] is a plus
