Job Location: Mumbai
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct primary and secondary research tasks and draw strategic insights from analysis
- Identify key insights, recommendations, opportunities, and threats to inform corporate and commercial strategies
- Utilize analytical tools to support strategic decision making
- Develop materials effectively communicating results of analyses
- Prepare materials for project meetings and support team members as required
- Participate in and contribute to internal initiatives including business development, knowledge management, and new capabilities development
- Demonstrate accountability for completion of all assigned responsibilities
- Engage with clients regularly in various ways (e.g., weekly updates, workshops, presentations)
- Experience with pharma related quantitative analytics is a plus
Desired Experience and Skills
- Broad awareness and keen understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries (especially US or EU market)
- Understanding of clinical research stages and their impact on strategic insight generation
- Demonstrated ability to integrate business and industry knowledge in developing creative solutions for clients
- Self-starter with prior experience conducting primary/secondary research in the Life Sciences industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid time management and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to accept feedback and strive to improve
- Willingness and ability to read scientific material and distil key insights
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Proficiency in written and oral English language and business communication
- Experience with pharma marketing analytics, valuation or forecasting/modelling is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced biology degree(s) (e.g., MBBS, PhD, BDS, B/M Pharm + MBA/MPH)
- Prior biotech/pharma/life sciences consulting/biopharma equity research experience is a must (minimum 1-2 years)
- Prior life sciences industry experience in a strategic role
Note: This role will involve working with global teams across multiple time zones; prior demonstrated success working in such environments is a plus
