The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Manager, Mission Planning Framework & Analytics located in Kent, WA .
This position is for a highly motivated individual with a passion for developing / deploying cutting edge technologies in support of National goals. This includes managing a geographically dispersed team that is incrementally progressing innovative concepts from development, integration, deployment into operations followed by sustainment within a cloud-based dev/sec/ops environment.
This individual will manage work for unusually complex technical problems and provide novel solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious within the Boeing Space & Launch division for mission / ground systems. This position required customer forward facing and supplier management integration.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages a group of roughly 15-20 direct reports, software staff and suppliers in the order of 50EP or higher .
Quickly understands new technologies and manage evolution plans.
Communicates with technical and non-technical audiences. Specific areas of focus include Signal Processing, signals intelligence & algorithm development to develop new machine learning techniques, and deploy into operations.
Utilizes an Agile software development process and includes a team of direct reports along with staff provided through the Software capability.
Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving.
Acts as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the team.
Capable of effectively triaging and de-escalating issues with impacted parties.
Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or have you been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or STEM field.
Experience with execution of program planning to include cost, schedule and technical baselines.
Experience leading / collaborating across geographically dispersed teams
3+ years’ experience in a customer-facing role
3+ years’ experience working with and/or managing contractors, subcontractors or suppliers
1+ years ‘experience managing proposal development
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with signal processing, target identification and fusion
Experience with sensor phenomenology
Experience in transition applied research and development concepts into operations
Team oriented product development in an agile environment and cadence

Summary pay range: $166,600 – $225,400
