WHAT YOU’LL DO
Joining BCG’s Principal Investors & Private Equity (PIPE) Practice Area on 12-month fixed term contract as a Business Analyst, you will work closely with the PIPE PA Management & Operations team to support Business Analytics & Reporting efforts like regional cuts, Business line specific reporting as well as various industry specific data analyses to push PIPE’s portfolio work globally.
You’ll be working closely with the PIPE’s Practice Area/Sector/Business Managers and Global Practice Area Sr Director to manage and deliver financial reporting needs, using relevant data tools/environment within BCG. You’ll be working as a thought partner and support our teams to bring insights to light through data analysis and visualization. You’ll also maintain a suite of dashboards that will be leveraged globally by our business leaders and executive teams to enable data-based decision support.
This role is perfect for a strong all-rounder who wants to build their understanding of a business and hone their skills within the field of business intelligence and analytics.
You’ll support the team through:
MIS reporting

Tracking performance metrics, running weekly and monthly reporting and analysis (standard and ad-hoc data analysis)

Ensuring the base data is captured accurately

Managing internal reporting systems e.g., maintaining Tableau dashboards

Work towards finding opportunities for process improvement and innovation and help execute them
Portfolio Data Analysis

Support the team to perform data analysis for PIPE portfolio companies

Collect and maintain commercial pipeline for the business
Other relevant projects as needed providing ad-hoc support for other global initiatives, projects, or events
YOU’RE GOOD AT
-
Very strong capabilities with Excel, knowledge of Tableau and Business Objects preferred.

Solid business intelligence and analytical skills – strong level of comfort with numbers and have an eye for data and financials

Exceptional organizational, planning and project management skills – Attention to detail, proactive follow-through, and accountability

Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work well with senior BCG members and peers

Strong written and oral communication skills.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

2-4 years of relevant experience as Business Analyst/Business Intelligence

The ability to manage your segment of work or sub-functional team independently, incl. projects

Demonstrated business understanding

Consulting or other professional service experience preferred

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, or related field highly preferred
YOU’LL WORK WITH
For additional tasks, you will collaborate with the Practice Area Coordinators, Sector / Topic Managers, HR and Marketing teams within the PA. Further interface may be there with PIPE leaders to collect and report business performance data and pipeline
Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG’s industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business through a number of roles, including content development, process management, marketing, meeting and conference management, and internal/external communications.
