What we’re looking for:
YOU as a full-stack data scientist will be responsible for formulating the security problems as data science problems and solving them. YOU will be involved in the full model life cycle, including the definition of the problem, acquisition and cleanup of the data, visualization of the data, implementation of the models, definition of the necessary data pipelines, monitoring the model performance in production, and making any necessary adjustments. YOU will have the opportunity to work with the PMs, various product and data science teams, and the security team to define and solve challenging and exciting business problems.
Position Overview:
As part of the Citrix Analytics Service/Security organization, our Engineering and Data Science teams develop solutions to cyber security challenges by aggregating data across users, devices, networks, applications, and files and generate actionable insights. We employ statistical and Machine Learning techniques to provide visibility into user and application behavior and identify indicators of risk. Our solutions are cloud based, and across Citrix portfolio as well as third-party products. We are looking for a talented and highly motivated data science leader, who is passionate about solving customers problems in the cyber security space.
Role Responsibilities:
- Understanding and refining the requirements with the PM team
- Translating the requirements into data science problems
- Visualizing the data and finding patterns
- Devising models, implementing, and tuning them
- Helping with project planning as part of our Agile processes
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 7-8 years of experience in data science or data analytics
- Expertise in statistics, data science and Machine Learning
- Strong experience with data mining and visualization
- Proficiency with a general-purpose programming language; Python preferred
- Experience with the use of relational and non-relational databases and Big Data frameworks such as Spark
- Great communication skills to effectively interact with various teams and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of the Cyber Security space
- Understanding of Networking concepts
- Experience with Splunk
- Familiarity with Cloud environment and SaaS offerings
