Job Responsibilities:
- Works closely with business stakeholders and product owners on requirement gathering & assessment
- Creates Reusable Data Processing, Data Quality Assessment, and Bulk Data Movement Frameworks using combination of tools and technologies like SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Scala, Hive, HDFS and/or UNIX etc.,
- Designs & Develops ETL jobs to handle data movements between File Systems, RDBMS, and/or Cloud Applications
- Creates SQL scripts to Unit Test ETL Code, Generate Canned Reports etc.,
- Performance tuning the SQL blocks & ETL jobs to ensure optimal performance
- Creates Code Builds and Handle Deployments
- Creates reusable components using SQL, PL/SQL, ETL, and/or Programming languages to automate routine tasks
- Understands Physical Data Models, and Create sequivalent DDL & DML Scripts
- Works with QA & Business Analysts on Integration & User Acceptance Testing
- Works using Agile Delivery Methodology, to deliver in Quick Delivery Cycles
- Creates and Maintains Design specifications and Support documentation
- Involved in Design Reviews & Post-Production Support Activities
Required:
- Bachelors Degree
- 8+ years of development experience using SQL or PL/SQL
- 8+ years of development experience with any ETL/ELT tool like SSIS, Informatica, Data Stage, Data Bricks, AWS Glue / Lambda, Azure Data Factory or Any equivalent tool
- 6+ years of Programming experience using Python, UNIX Shell Scripting, or Windows Power Shell
- 4+ years of experience using Apache Spark, PySpark, Big Data Echo System etc.,
- 4+ years of experience with any Cloud Platform like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- 2+ years of experience with one of Data Modeling applications like ERWIN, ER/Studio Data Architect, or SAP PowerDesigner
- 2+ years of experience with one of Job Scheduling applications like ActiveBatch, Autosys, IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler, CA Workload Automation
- Hands-On experience with GitHub, JIRA, and CI/CD tools
- Good understanding of Data Warehousing & Data Modeling fundamentals
- Strong Analytical & Communication Skills
Preferred:
- Familiarity or Working experience with one of BI & Analytical applications like QlikSense, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau
- Any Cloud Application, Database, Data Integration, Business Intelligence Application Certifications are preferable
- Exposure to Data Streaming, and Data API Design & Development experience would be preferable
