Job Description
Essential Duties:
- Partner with various stakeholders, and business leaders to design and build robust services using data pipeline tool like Fivetran/Stitch, ETL tools like Talend/Informatica and Snowflake Datawarehouse.
- Develop ad hoc queries, views, and materialized tables against Snowflake databases and schedule the queries using SnowSQL and Python scripts.
- Translate advanced business data, integration and analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations, across multiple departments; communicate results and educate others through design and build of insightful visualizations, reports and presentations
- Experience in one or more of the major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), especially in relation to integration with Snowflake
- Perform data profiling/analysis to develop strategy and create pertinent data models.
- Mentor, guide, and monitor fellow programmers, conduct code reviews ensuring adherence to best programming practices.
- Use GitHub to manage all the changes in the SQL queries for proper version control and seamless collaboration.
Bonus
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, MyDBR, and/or Jaspersoft
- Experience with Data Pipeline tools like Stitch or Fivetran
- Certified SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer
Minimum Education And Experience Required
- Degree in computer science, business, engineering, math, or closely related field, or significant equivalent experience.
- Experience in building data solutions within an enterprise environment using industry standard guiding principles and practices
- Experience leveraging data integration tools to build data pipeline tool like Fivetran/Stitch and ETL tools like Talend/Informatica.
- Experience with SQL, Python languages to explore, interact and build solutions.
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with relational/non-relational databases e.g., Teradata, Snowflake, Oracle, Mongo, or MySQL
- Experience working in a high performing agile delivery model, aligning with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other execution team members to deliver rapid and impactful solutions that align to business partner strategy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and produce quality results under pressure
