As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. You will do this by; producing and assessing recurring metrics and reports, supporting the implementation of approved recommendations, performing ad hoc requests and reporting to address business needs.

Outcomes and Activities:
  • This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an office location may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at an office location if requested by the team member.
  • Provides ‘Value add’ Insight by assessing & identifying performance trends using recurring reports and understands current state operations
  • Provides meaningful, executable ‘value-add’ insight that results in positive outcomes for the company
  • Designs, develops and improves corporate performance reports and dashboards
  • Actively monitors recurring and non recurring reports for accuracy and reasonableness. Ensures quality data sources are established and maintained
  • Ensures customers have clear understanding of the report/analysis and communicates individual department performance clearly and accurately through metrics and reporting
  • Participates in an on call rotation to monitor production failure notifications and resolve issues

  • Development: Develops solutions using standards and best practices of the applications language. Writes code that implements the design that is testable, extensible, efficient and maintainable.
  • Impact Analysis: Understand the rationale behind and how changes impact the enterprise and/or applications and across the technical ecosystem.
  • Solution Design: Ability to translate high level requirements to create and implement designs that meet the needs of the customer, are technically sound, maintainable and cost effective. Ability to identify missing or ambiguous requirements. Ability to design at both high and low levels of abstraction, understand complex requirements and translate into understandable solutions. Ability to accurately estimate based on requirements.
  • Technical Domain: Have an understanding of the technical domain, including the application architecture, design and data of the application they support and systems to which it interfaces.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, physics, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence Analyst role or equivalent
  • BASE SAS, SQL, or other related programming languages
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
Preferred Experience:
  • Have the ability to learn new software and programming languages as necessary
  • Be receptive to ongoing feedback aimed at improving individual and team performance

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and abstract reasoning abilities
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Experience with BI tools such as OBIEE, Cognos, etc
  • Familiar with PL/SQL and relational databases
  • Respond promptly and effectively to problems, projects and tasks
  • Be organized, with ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple requests
  • Ability to gain trust of others and build solid relationships across and vertically throughout the organization and relate well to all customers
  • Ability to convey complex information in a timely and easily understood manner throughout all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate initiative by being proactive in work duties and making recommendations as opportunities arise
  • Self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision in a team environment
  • Customer focused, always having the customer and company’s best interest in mind
  • Work well with abstract concepts
  • Apply analytical skills to solve problems creatively
  • Extract and manipulate large data sets
Targeted Compensation: $80,000.00 – $115,000.00 + an annual bonus plan
