Finance processes have evolved over the years in a specific manner due to variables such as market conditions, regulatory pressures and new business, which have ultimately resulted in inconsistency across business functions. These inconsistencies pose a challenge for process standardization and technology rationalization. The objective of IMBS SCI team is to strategically address issues causing Suspense entries, Control Account Breaks and Inter Company Breaks.
The IMBS SCI Business Analyst role will work within the Finance Change group, with a focus on delivering strategic fixes to the in scope Suspense & Control accounts and IC breaks. The overarching objective is to enable the architecture that not just caters to readiness for Recovery & Resolution scenario, but also scalable and strategically enabling the CFO functions with reduced Suspense, Control and IC breaks. This role specifically needs to work on DAL and Opera Sub Ledgers fixing the accounting / posting rules and other data quality issues.

As a Business Analyst, you will closely work with partners in the CFO function to understand the business problems and come up with strategic solutions. You will fulfill client-facing functional and technical roles demonstrating your technical skills. This will involve design and build of solutions to meet business process and application requirements.

Your skills and experience
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor degree is a must, Qualified MBA-Finance or Chartered Accountant is preferred but not mandatory
- Investment Banking/Financial Services domain knowledge is essential
- Outstanding understanding on posting / accounting rules of Financial Products like Equity, Bonds, Derivatives, etc.
- Financial product knowledge and related accounting
- Minimum 3-8 years of proven work experience either in Finance/PC operations or Business Analysis/ Change for Core Finance system
- Hands on experience in tools like MS Office Excel and PowerPoint, and (desirable) PL/SQL queries
- In case of prior experience in Credit Suisse, preferably should have knowledge of CFO core component systems i.e. Opera, DAL, Jazz, PeopleSoft
- Outstanding analytical skills and ability to define and apply logical approach to issue resolution
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
- A phenomenal team-player with dedication to ongoing learning and sharing knowledge with others
