The overarching Pharmacy Affordability and Loyalty team is responsible for transforming how CVS will be the pharmacy that does the most to help customers afford their medications. The portfolio is responsible for delivering hundreds of millions of dollars in margin to the company and in savings to consumers.
As the Manager of Business Insights and Analytics, you will be reporting to the Sr. Manager of Pharmacy Affordability and Loyalty. You will lead the full spectrum of analytic needs across the Affordability and Loyalty team. This includes building a roadmap of operational reporting and business insight analyses, overseeing data requirements and data strategy to enable seamless access to information for the portfolios, and leading the portfolios financial value tracking, forecasting, and budgeting.
The business will come to you with an end goal and you will ask questions, determine the objectives, and then design and execute an analysis to ‘tell a story’ that will inform decision-making on key initiatives.
Examples of specific responsibilities include:
- You will be responsible for pulling data, developing insights, and presenting your findings to our business partners.
- You will have a team of 1 person that you will manage and mentor and lead them through data pulls, developing insights, and reporting
- Your focus area will be to address questions of Enterprise Value, for example:
- Recommend strategies that optimize Affordability operations
- Model retail pharmacy impact of innovations to already existing products
- Scope, solution design, and project manage new data solutions and automations to solve key business problems
- Providing operational support for pilots and implementations across pharmacy partners
The ideal candidate is an extremely effective and passionate leader and communicator, is detail oriented, and is very organized. They must be used to handling adversity, be comfortable working in an undefined space, and take a flexible and agile approach to change. The candidate must have a growth mindset and be customer focused. They must have strong experience in developing code to pull data and creating actionable business insights from the data. This role also will require a lot of collaboration across the Affordability team as well as with other CVS Health business units. This is a dynamic role, best fit for people who enjoy working on problems and have experience implementing strategies and solutions. This person needs to be able to set goals, create a plan around those goals, and enable their team to execute to achieve the goals. Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 60,300
Maximum: 126,600
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience Consulting, analytics (analyzing business trends (e.g., data analysis, reporting development, etc.) or related experience / experience with solid story boarding, PowerPoint, Excel, and project management.
- 3+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL programming
- Experience leading and building multi-pronged teams
- Experience and demonstrated success in translating data into actionable business insights to support cross-functional initiatives
- Experience building reporting and KPIs/metrics to measure initiative success
- Experience building and delivering leadership-facing presentations and materials
- Strong organizational and work planning skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication (written and oral) skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of supervisory experience with multiple direct reports
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and tracking financial and operational metrics for a portfolio
- 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools like Tableau
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters or advanced degree preferred
