Job Location: Woonsocket, RI

This Senior Data Engineer role will collaborate with business partners to identity opportunities to leverage big data technologies in support of Personalization initiatives within CVS. You will build next generation Big Data machine learning framework developed on a group of core Big Data & ML technologies. You will design and build highly scalable and extensible data platforms which enables collection, storage, modeling, and analysis of massive data sets from numerous channels. You will define and maintain data architecture, focusing on applying technology to enable business solutions. You will assess and provide recommendations on business relevance, with appropriate timing and deployment. You will perform provide design inputs, perform data modeling, and build/implement applications on massive data platforms and analytic applications. You will bring a DevOps mindset to enable big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions that leverage emerging technologies. You will implement complex big data projects. You will apply a creative mindset to a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, and automating data feedback loops in support of business innovation.

Location: RI, MA, IL, TX, Remote, preferably in EST/CST

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 75,000
Maximum: 167,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Data centric Information Technology or Analytics experience
  • 3+ years of experience with both Python and SQL
  • 1+ years of Machine Learning Modeling experience
  • 2+ years of experience developing cloud-native data & analytical products (Azure, GCP or AWS)

Preferred Qualifications
Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate data sets from disparate data sources

Ability to understand complex systems and solve challenging analytical problems

Experience with bash shell scripts, UNIX utilities & UNIX Commands

Strong knowledge of large-scale search applications and building high volume data pipelines

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related discipline

Master’s degree or PhD preferred
