Business Analyst Intern/Co-Op
Remote in Boston, MA – Work from home. Candidate must be located in/around Boston, MA.

We built our Digital innovation Hub in downtown Boston and staffed the start-up with top talent from leading Boston eCommerce firms like BJs, Keurig, Sapient, Staples, Vistaprint and Wayfair. The Boston office has a broad mandate to drive the company’s digital capabilities and reports to our Boston-based Chief Digital Officer. This is a start-up opportunity to build digital capabilities from the ground up using a composable architecture with the latest technologies across the digital ecosystem.
Dawn is looking to add a Business Analyst Intern/Co-Op to our team for a 6-month rotation to work hands-on with our eCommerce platform in a variety of roles and responsibilities. This role would be well suited to students following a course of study in Business, Digital Marketing, UX Design, or Data Science. This role reports to our Boston-based, Sr. Product Manager. You will be mentored by a cross-functional group of Managers and SMEs and present your findings to the broader eCommerce team including Dawn’s Chief Digital Officer. This position will also offer you the unique opportunity to own and present a complete end-to-end project utilizing all the skills you will learn during your Internship/Co-Op.
Requirements
- Working towards BS in Business, Digital Marketing, UX Design, Data Science or Similar Degree.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Strong communication skills, experience interfacing with customer care, sales and marketing groups.
- Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail
- Customer service oriented internally and externally.
Role Responsibilities
- Work closely with product owner(s) to write and to articulates use cases, user stories, feature specifications, and any additional documentation that defines the business needs for new development
- Work closely with product owner(s) to initiate enhancements, implement product vision, and adjust goals.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to collect feedback to improve product performance and user experience.
- Lead effort to explore, evaluate and analyze the user experience
- Assist in release, escalate bugs, perform testing, support customer service
Skills
- Productivity Tools: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
- Product Management tools like Confluence, Jira or Asana
- Data: Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Tableau, or SAP BI
Potential Projects
- Mobile Experience Optimization: Optimize our mobile eCommerce experience. The project will include an audit of the current experience, market research, and recommendations on what improvements to make. If time allows, this person will then work with the product team to prioritize improvements, write requirements for features, and see feature(s) through to their release.
- Email Enhancement: Review our strategy for eCommerce email triggers and recommend potential opportunities for improvement. This person will review existing emails, suggest improvements, and clean up existing triggers. They will also create a communication plan moving forward by researching vendors, industry trends, and collecting examples of best practices.
- Workplace: Lead an internal project with the goal of bringing the Dawn team closer together using Workplace. This person will coordinate cross-functional meetings to collect and document business requirements and then work with the product owner to implement those requirements.
Compensation Range: $32,960-$49,450 annual non-exempt salary based on 2080 hours a year at the rate of $15.85-$23.77 per hour
