The professionals in Deloitte’s Life Sciences Research & Development practice understand the unique challenges confronting today’s Life Sciences organizations. Our approaches are pragmatic and realistic, and span the continuum from new R&D operating models through portfolio management, data analytics, IT transformation, and regulatory and safety considerations.

Deloitte has established a leadership position in the area of R&D Tech Analytics consulting. We have built outstanding insights to the challenges and opportunities in this space and have strong industry relationships and experiences in delivering business results. We are looking for Managers to help us shape the direction of our practice capabilities and delivery of project results. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in clinical trials and data management processes and truly understands the needs of industry and regulators.

A Senior Consultant at Deloitte will manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology solutions to solve our client’s most complex business challenges.

The team

The Analytics and Cognitive (A&C) offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

• Industry experience in clinical data management processes (in the order of 5-7 years)

• Understanding of business practices, solutions and relevant regulations for clinical data and trials management

• Understanding of industry trends and future directions for clinical trials and the impacts for clinical data management

• Educate clients on the latest technology trends and implications for their business

• Design actionable strategies and roadmaps that clients can utilize to deliver business value

• Develop financial models depicting both the financial obligation and future value of future technology implementations

• Manage teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures.

• Formulate planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting strategies.

• Manage full life cycle implementations.

• Develop statements of work and/or client proposals.

• Identify business opportunities to increase usability and profitability

• Interact with program leadership, governance, and change enablement teams.

• Develop and manage vendor relationships

• Design and facilitate client workshops

• Manage resources and budget on client projects

. Travel up to 50% (while 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $119,000 to $220,000.
