We have an opportunity for a highly motivated, independent thinking professional to take a pivotal role in a global team of technology specialists within Research & Index Technology; you will be part of the team developing applications to support a wide range of Research business processes including Contracting/Entitlements, Reference Data, management information system (MIS) reporting, & Analytics.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • DevOps – Implementing uniform processes across the department, support our adoption of continuous integration & continuous delivery (CI/CD), automating the building, packaging, testing, and deployment of applications. Understanding the current landscape, identifying gaps, and assisting the closure of these gaps

  • Infrastructure – Solution design of requirements working with domain architects, infrastructure teams, and developers. Capacity and utilization management of current infrastructure; compliance management

  • Releases – Ensuring all software development life cycle (SDLC) and Release processes are followed and take proactive actions as and when necessary

  • Team working – Working collaboratively, as part of the scrum development team(s) in Research & Index Technology

  • Contribute towards a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team and beyond. Share skills and knowledge in a wide range of topics relating to DevOps and software delivery

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, OpenShift/GCP/Azure/AWS experience). Relevant experience in Microservices/API Development and deployment

  • Deep technical skills in at least one core language environment (e.g., Java, Python, Kotlin, Shell scripting, etc)

  • Experience in automation tools such as TeamCity/Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Helm

  • Experience with dev tooling & tools such as Bitbucket, Artifactory, Confluence, Jira

  • Experience with application development and multi-platform architectures
