Job Duties And Responsibilities
The Opportunity
DISH is looking for an experienced financial analyst to support our operations with data driven insights that lead to actionable decision making and executive decision support. This is a critical role that will work with large data sets, transforming raw data into knowledge using modern business intelligence tools ( e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, etc . ).
What to expect in this role:
- Support the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts with efficient and insightful analysis
- Analyze and investigate monthly variances to help determine root cause and impact on forecast
- Create ad hoc analyses as needed to support key decision making
- Support monthly management reporting
- Participate in cross-functional teams providing financial insight and guidance as pertains to performance management of field operations
- Identify key areas of reporting and process automation and execute digital transformation projects
- Design dashboards and other visualizations to bring operations data to life
- Perform market rate analysis to inform labor and contractor rate card decisions
- Create sensitivity analyses to isolate impact on critical variables
- Scenario analyses to consider alternative decision paths and related impact of each
Skills, Experience And Requirements
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree ideally in accounting, finance, or digital analytics disciplines
- 2+ years working in FP&A, finance, accounting, or business analytics
- Experience in budgeting and variance reporting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Commitment to accuracy and quality
- Ability to adjust to new, different, or changing requirements while maintaining a sense of urgency
Bonus Points:
- Analytics background (network optimization, operations optimization, what-if analysis, etc.)
- Any programming experience ( g. Python, R, VBA, etc.)
- Experience with visualization tools ( g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire, etc.)
- Database and SQL experience
- Experience with One Stream or similar systems
- Accounting experience
- Financial modeling experience
- Accreditations (CPA, CMA, CFA, etc.)
Salary Range
Compensation: $65,800.00/Year – $105,000.00/Year
