About the team

eBay Cassini is eBay’s Core Search Engine that powers the search experience for the whole eBay across the world. Cassini handles 80 billion queries daily on a corpus of 3 billion documents. Cassini is eBay’s home-grown product written with the goal of very high availability and very low latency. Cassini supports dynamic deployment of ML models for query understanding, relevance, ranking, shipping time estimates and more. We have even written our own software load balancer, so we can have more control over our traffic profiles!

We are a team of passionate people who share a common interest in solving problems using software and data. We invite you to join us! This is a big responsibility; you will work on high-availability servers, improve customer experience through innovation, impact revenues and advance our team and technologies. • Debug production issues across multiple systems and different levels of the stack
