Team Overview:
We are currently seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to join our rapidly growing Mobile Center of Excellence (MCOE). The Data Analytics Engineer will be focused on partnering and collaborating with our product teams responsible for developing and delivering mobile apps to our client and branch teams.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in collaborating with product owners, business analyst and UX researchers to identify and define events to tag and track using analytics tools and platforms (i.e., Google Analytics, Firebase, Pendo Mobile, Data Studio, Tableau).
The Data Analytics Engineer will build dataset representations that allow the mobile product teams to understand and evaluate user behavior and interaction data captured. They will use a combination of business strategy and technical data knowledge to translate complex information into clear and helpful visual analytics dashboards displaying key metrics to support business decisions related to product development, delivery, and adoption strategies to deliver great mobile user experiences.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain a strong understanding of division results and key business drivers, as well as an understanding of key business strategies and priorities, apply business knowledge to analytic approach to address business questions
- Build and maintain a strong knowledge of data sets available to the analyst. Extract, cleanse and transform data to support analysis needs. Pressure test and validate logic and outputs against known sources and business acumen. Proactively identify data quality issues.
- Provide actionable insights to support business decisions, primarily by performing root cause, exploratory, sensitivity and scenario analysis, hypothesis testing, economic modeling, and data visualization to identify patterns, trends, and insights etc. on ambiguous business problems.
- Independently generate and incorporate insights into a cohesive story that clearly addresses product team questions. Effectively communicate with product teams, 3rd party partners and non-technical audiences regarding analytic ideas, approach, key takeaways, and actionable insights.
- Develop and manage business relationships with project team members and leaders across the organization. Consult with product and portfolio owners to identify opportunities for leveraging data & analytics to drive business outcomes.
- Document, monitor, and proactively recommend improvements to processes and controls related to areas of responsibility.
- Lead the development and monitoring of KPIs and benchmarks. Must be able to communicate results to senior leaders.
Prioritize and execute multiple tasks/projects and adjust to changing priorities.
Communication: Communicate with product owners, business analysts, UX researchers and designers, and key executives through both verbal communication and visual representations.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in business, economics, math, engineering, or analytics preferred or 5 years+ business experience in marketing, finance, data analytics, or relevant field.
- Strong analytical, critical, and systems thinking.
- Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline.
- Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities.
Data analysis: Require an understanding of data analysis principles and formulas. Possess data analysis skills to create effective, accurate and concise models that communicate the information and meaning of a dataset.
Data engineering: Ability to develop software that collects, sorts and structures data. Uses these ideas and skills to create efficient software to display and communicate complex data.
Data modeling: Experience creating data models to generate accurate models and communicate effectively through visual representations.
Tools: Use data analytics tools and platforms to capture and create visual dashboards and reports on mobile user behaviors and interactions.
What Will Set You Apart:
- Previous analytical related experience is preferred. Financial services industry experience is a plus
- Advanced Degree or Certification preferred
- Experience with Google Analytics – GA-4
- Experience with Data Studio
- Experience with Mobile Applications
- Experience with Tableau
