Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Director, Global Corporate Giving, Finance, Operations & Data Analytics to ensure operational and compliance excellence of Edwards and Edwards Lifesciences Foundation’s giving and commitment to impacting the lives of underserved patients and strengthening global communities. This leader will be part of a mature and growing Global Corporate Giving team that is preparing for a strategy expansion to drive even more social impact. Job Responsibilities:
Finances: Lead all corporate and foundation giving finances, budgets, forecasting, models and accounting to ensure financial excellence, on budget/forecast performance and a successful annual foundation audit.
Lead internal team members and external vendors responsible for administering donations of dollars, Edwards technologies and in-kind gifts.
Responsible for overseeing all accounting of giving donations and expenses, as well as internal management and external reporting on finances.
Lead the development and oversight of annual operating plan to guide execution of our global giving strategy.
Ensure that operating plans are aligned to priorities, milestones and goals are met on time, all initiatives are executed with operational and compliance excellence and appropriately communicated internally and externally
Manage the annual foundation audit serving as the key liaison between all participating parties (i.e. external auditors, external bookkeepers, internal accounting and foundation Audit Committee Chair) to keep the audit on track to timelines, with all requests/deliverables being completed in a timely manner in order to support the issuance of the audited financial statements.
Operations: Lead all giving operations and systems to increase impact, drive efficiencies, streamline processes and ensure proper controls.
Oversee team members, committees and vendors utilizing giving systems, including assessment of current systems and implementation of new and/or additional systems (i.e. giving platforms, impact measurement systems, business intelligence and analytics software, global HR systems integration).
Oversee annual grant cycle of the foundation from application, to committee review, to analysis and presentation of recommendations to the foundation board of directors.
Oversee product donation initiative in partnership with internal team and committee members, to ensure effective global supply chain engagement, partner inventory management and compliance.
Identify process improvements and lead execution of change management in all areas of giving to drive efficiencies, effectiveness and impact.
Data analytics: Lead data management and analytics for all giving efforts to measure the impact of our work and provide clear insights that inform strategy development and execution, support internal management decision-making and contribute to external reporting.
Every Heartbeat Matters giving – Enhance existing impact measurement, analysis and reporting of our signature philanthropic initiative launched to ensure accurate measurement and reporting of charitable outcomes towards goals.
Community giving – Initiate all aspects of charitable impact measurement for an enhanced community strategy.
Other – Oversee analytics for all other giving efforts including employee matching gift programs, product donation, IRS reporting, management reporting, Open Payments reporting, internal/external communications, employment engagement in charitable activities, as well as giving and sustainability reports.
Governance and compliance: Ensure our giving is executed with the utmost focus on ethics and compliance with all laws, regulations, requirements, governing bodies, and policies and procedures associated with our giving.
Oversee all giving policies and procedures documenting and guiding our work.
Partner with internal/external legal and compliance partners to ensure every donation is done with compliance excellence, evolving and communicating modifications of policies and procedures, as necessary.
Manage governance of our foundation including oversight of bylaws, meeting minutes, approval documentation and reporting.
Partner with internal subject matter experts and external auditors to ensure compliance, including implementing any process changes required to comply with any new non-profit accounting standards, as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of ten years experience in finance, data analytics, corporate social responsibility, accounting, or foundation management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree

Ability to build trust and thrive in an in-person, high-relationship culture, with comfort and experience working with people of all levels, from c-suite to beneficiaries of giving efforts.
Emotional intelligence, strong cultural sensitivity and passion for helping others.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, as well as business intelligence and analytics software (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire). Experience with grantmaking systems (i.e. CyberGrants) preferred.
