The Cash Services department in our Helena, MT branch office has an opportunity for a summer intern to work 40 hours/week for 10-12 weeks. In this role, you’ll work with staff and management to help streamline processes and procedures, identify process improvement opportunities, and update forms and job aides.
Please note: this position is NOT eligible for a 100% remote work schedule, and relocation assistance is not provided.
Responsibilities may include one or more of the following:
Develops knowledge of the division/department operations to support department management, analysts and other staff by assisting in various projects, studies and assignments.
Researches, compiles, and computes data, and performs routine analysis. Creates and modifies routine reports.
Completes projects of limited scope.
Assists in writing or updating department procedural manuals.
Assists in preparing written communications, graphics and/or other media.
Acquires knowledge to maintain databases of information.
Provides routine information and assistance to customers, users, employees, and other individuals and groups on programs, services, products, methods, requirements, regulations and procedures or in other related areas.
Coordinates/assists in the department budget process and/or business plan, and assists in researching and compiling data.
Reviews and designs departmental forms in consultation with those affected.
Qualifications:
Work in process towards a post-secondary degree or high school diploma with a preferred emphasis in accounting, business, economics, finance, statistics, urban studies, or a related field.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with standard business/office software applications.
Effective interpersonal communication skills.
