The Role
As an Associate Data Engineer, you will be member of a cross-functional agile delivery squad where you will design and develop robust Microservices applications. You will work on developing mid-tier applications that extract metadata from various databases and provide recommendations to experience services based on the aggregated data. You will seek opportunities to realize innovative ideas that drive business value. You will be an integral member on the team who leads in deploying applications in Cloud with best practices and standards.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
- 1+ Year of overall experience in implementing back end and middle tier applications
- Experience in Java, Spring Boot, Python and SQL
- Experience in developing Microservices using Spring Boot
- Experience in managing code and deployment pipelines using Git and Jenkins
- Partner with technical leads to make clear, simple, and technically sound design decisions.
- Adopt continuous improvement regarding application quality and stability.
- Being candid and honest in all discussions to ensure the best outcomes.
- Cloud certification such as AWS, Azure a plus

- Developing new capabilities to deliver engaging customer experience by delivering right analytics to right customer at right moments
The Team
WS Personalization Chapter delivers personalized experience, guidance, and advice to WS customers. Team members focus on building capabilities to support targeting, advance analytics, real-time streaming of recommendations to channels driving Personalized experience. WS Personalization team interacts with other core data teams with in WS such as MDM, EDL, AI/ML modal teams. As a member of WS Personalization team you will need to drive experiments and personalized recommendations by integrating with Predictive models and personalized tags through WS Recommendation Engine.
