Job Detail:
GEICO’s Centralized Testing Organization is seeking both experienced and freshly minted Data Engineers to join our Test Data Management team and help us build exciting new robust and scalable test data solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and experience working with data in a large-scale, production-like environments. In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience with load/stress testing, synthetic data generation, and be able to demonstrate how to leverage data to support and improve quality of systems in previous roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements and make recommendations based on said needs
- Design, develop, and maintain test data management solutions
- Create and execute data strategies and plans, including generating synthetic data sets
- Ensure data quality and integrity for test data sets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement test data solutions
- Participate and contribute on load and stress testing
- Continuously improve and optimize test data processes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field OR 5+ years of experience in test data management and engineering
- Experience working with large-scale data sets and data pipeline technologies
- Experience with test data management toolsets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with synthetic data generation
- Experience with load and stress testing
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Agile/Scrum, Azure Cloud, SPLUNK, GIT and Azure DevOps experience
Desired Qualifications:
- DBA Path Experience including being well versed with relational databases, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Views as well as non-SQL data management (COSMOS DB)
- Scripting language proficiency (C#, Python, Powershell)
- Experience with one or more GEICO’s LOB systems (Policy, Billing, Client, Sales, Claims, Multiline, etc.)
