Job Description:
We are seeking an ITIL business analyst to support the Center for Information Technology (CIT) Operation Management Service (OMS). Applicants should have a good understanding of IT Infrastructure. You should have a working knowledge of IT Infrastructures and applications, as well as IT Service Management tools. You will be responsible for working with each department within the program to analyze processes, recommend new processes and procedures, develop SOPs and work with managers to implement and track the effectiveness of the processes and procedures.
You will report to the CIT OMS Process Manager in performing and completing tasks assigned. You will help and guide CIT in adhering to ITIL processes.
This position is currently 100% remote. However you must reside within commuting distance to Bethesda, MD since client direction may change.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Analyze current processes and procedures and recommend enhancements in the process areas of Configuration, Change, Release, and Production Migration.

Develop and assist with Process Documentation development

Document processes using standard process conventions (e.g., inputs, outputs, activities, process flows)

Routinely produce metrics, reports, process documents, mass communications, instructions, agendas, and meeting minutes

Document and contribute to process improvement initiatives

Develop and update SOPs for the program

Assist with Process Deployment

Work with the various CIT Service Areas to implement and track processes and procedures

Work with the Process Manager to ensure all contract deliverables are met

Work in collaboration with other service areas of the IT division to continually improve business processes

Assist in facilitating regularly scheduled, essential meetings to review and discuss various IT related activity
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
-
BS/BA and two years related experience or the equivalent experience/education
-
Knowledge of IT infrastructure and support
-
Knowledge of networking and systems administration
-
Experience developing, writing, and implementing SOPs
-
Experience with ServiceNow
-
Active ITIL V3 OR V4 certification
-
Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Minimum of two year experience with requirements gathering and documentation
-
Minimum of two year experience with at least two of the ITIL processes: configuration, change, release, or production migration.

Experience working across an organization and interacting with different teams and skill sets

Experience in all ITIL processes
-
Strong technical writing background

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience presenting to large audiences

Good understanding of IT operations
