GDIT is seeking a Database Analyst to support its Technology Shared Services (TSS) Data and Analytics team, developing customer dashboards, deep dive analytics, and delivering customer solutions. As a Database Analyst, you will support customers within GDIT to fulfill multiple federal agency missions.
You will be part of requirements gathering with customers, writing user stories, collaborating with developers, testing completed features, communicating with customers, creating documentation, and developing Tableau dashboards and/or other business intelligence visualizations.
The TSS Data and Analytics team uses a variety of tools including ServiceNow, Power BI, and Tableau. The Tableau dashboards provide program management and financial dashboards to customers allowing them to manage risk and provide the essential reporting to their government customers.

In this role, a typical day will include:
- Conduct market research and define industry best practices for decision-making
- Creating, refining, and delivering reports and dashboards for internal or external purposes
- Build dashboards and reporting in ServiceNow
- Utilize ServiceNow Performance Analytics to build indicators, schedules, and insights
- Utilize Tableau, Excel, and/or other business intelligence tools
- Provide data analytics and key insights
- Highlight and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure performance across different sections
- Collaborate with a team of developers, analysts, and engineers to determine feature requests, priorities, dashboards, and solutions.
- Writing user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, and retrospectives to improve Agile development processes.
- Performing Quality Assurance (QA) testing of new features to ensure that requirements are met, and the resulting user experience works as intended.
- Participating in and supporting user acceptance testing and the deployment of the solution to production.
- Preparing and conducting presentations and training materials.
- Creating and maintaining documentation.
- Collaborate with a team of developers, analysts, and engineers to deliver on-time Agile sprint releases.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS (or equivalent years of experience)
- 2+ years of experience
- Experience in ServiceNow Dashboards and Reporting
- Experience in ServiceNow Performance Analytics
- Familiarity with Tableau or related business intelligence tools/practices
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Strong Excel background; familiarity with other Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities at any given time.
- Good team player, able to manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing client needs.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
US Citizenship required per contract requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology
- Experience with Tableau and/or other business intelligence tool(s)
- ServiceNow certifications
- Knowledge of ITIL framework
- Knowledge of Agile methodology
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tool(s)
- Experience with Python

The likely salary range for this position is $64,000 – $96,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
