GDIT is looking for a Systems Analyst Senior to provide business and system subject matter expertise of the Drug Data Processing System (DDPS) and Payment Reconciliation System (PRS) systems. You will be part of a team supporting CMS’ Medicare Part D Prescription Drug program.
Job Description:
- Defines and creates business, functional and system requirements.
- Actively participates/leads business discussions and /or joint application development (JAD) sessions, internally and externally.
- Analyzes information from customer and develops strategic solutions that meet the scope and objectives of the system along with addressing system needs.
- Collaborates with the technical team on system solutions.
- Documents and presents analysis and recommended solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepares and maintains complex flow charts, models, and documentation for internal and external use.
- Uses their understanding of the system to develop technical documentation to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of systems.
- Work to become a subject matter expert on DDPS team which will has a large impact on the project.
- Understand the needs of the customer and stakeholders and represent their needs when communicating with technical staff, both internal and external.
- Has SQL knowledge for performing data analysis to gain a better understanding of system impacts.
- May perform data analysis, as required, to support the Medicare Part D program and claims processing.
- Reviews business communication documents such as newsletters, electronic announcements, technical updates to stay up to date on the industry and potential system impacts.
- Ability to be flexible to changing demands and priorities.
Skills Required:
- Strong experience in analyzing and documenting business, system and functional requirements using methods such as gap analysis, data analysis, data mapping.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to confidently interact with all levels in the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Good team player
- Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) experience is preferred
- Ability to be flexible to changing demands and priorities.
Plusses include:
- Health care experience
- Teradata platform experience or working with large data sets
- Experience and knowledge of the Medicare Part D program, including claims processing
- Medium level SQL skills, and experience with databases and data warehousing
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, ETL tools, and/or MicroStrategy BI tools
The likely salary range for this position is $96,000 – $144,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
