YOUR ROLE
This role will support the Shared Services workflow and desktop tools as an Application Business Analyst. In this role, you will be expected to own and support all phases of the requirements life cycle, including analyze, design, develop, code, unit test, implement, document, debug and maintain the software applications utilized within the Shared Services workflow and desktop applications. Working in an Agile or Waterfall methodology as business, IT, and Project teams may require.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze: Collaborate with the project team, namely the SME’s, Dev, IT Admin System specialists and business owners, ensuring the document requirements include IT’s perspective, such as: design guidelines and user guidelines. Support to eliminate any potential gaps in the documented requirements.
- Business Requirements: Supporting the business, function, system and implementation requirements for the project. Ensuring that tasks are captured and completed irrelevant of the level of coordination and cross team collaboration.
- Unit Test: Build and implement a test plan for the document application, utilizing testing standards to ensure all code developed does what it should before handing off to QA for MODL testing. Analyze and update admin system extracts as needed to ensure all scenarios are tested. Working knowledge of the online compare tool is expected and should be administered and the results analyzed for accurate unit testing completion.
- Debug and Maintain: Must support via defect tracking any issues found in QA testing and re-unit test. After implementation, must update any changes that occur, ensuring those changes do not affect any code already in place. All documentation and unit testing must be updated and kept current.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of professional experience as Business Analyst and/or Project Manager
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required
- Demonstrated ability to create business requirement artifacts, including Process Maps, Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Test Scenarios, etc
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to differing audiences including Senior Vice Presidents, Business Leaders and Technical Developers
- Ability to work well in a changing environment.
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities with a desire to develop on in-depth understanding of complex issues.
- Results oriented, ability to meet and exceed objectives and handle multiple deadlines and priorities
- Proficient in various MS Personal Computing Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.)
- Strong analytical and business problem solving skills
- Excellent planning, organizational and execution skills
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal and presentation)
