This role requires a thorough, detailed, creative, diligent, and sharp analytical mind. Must have exceptional BI experience building and maintaining an enterprise data warehouse along with the desire to support our leadership team to achieve their goals. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics and PowerBI and who can understand both our current setup and our business objectives, in order to quickly identify areas of improvement. They should be comfortable with change management and governance, as well as communicating, prioritizing, and managing all aspects of a PowerBI project. The ideal candidate will work with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to translate technical information into layman’s terms, clearly explaining design options and their potential impact.

Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking experienced professionals to support the state of the art 300mm semiconductor manufacturing and development in Malta, New York. The core responsibilities of this team involve ownership of process integration of semiconductor devices; monitoring performance and driving improvements related to technology yield, Cp/Cpk of inline and electrical parameters, defectivity, and more. The team is also responsible for the development of new and emerging technologies through definition/execution of experiments and technical data analysis. The ideal candidate can demonstrate a technical understanding of semiconductor principles and an understanding of a balanced scorecard approach to develop, sustain, and improve semiconductor technologies with quality, cost, and delivery all considered.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Demonstrable strong data analysis and data mining skills (T-SQL, MDX, and DAX)
- Strong data visualization skills using Power BI
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Experience managing data warehouse and reporting infrastructure to help scale reporting needs while maintaining high-performance environment for reporting
- Understanding of reporting and business intelligence best practices
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of data governance best practice
- Develop PowerBI into a reporting engine to drive business decisions and provide leading indicators.
- Guidance on data management to improve CRM data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed
- Drive the systems to be the “Single Source of Truth” partnering with sales to develop activity reports, product adoption, and territory and segment analysis etc.
- Technical documentation and basic systems training
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited College and/or University in Computer Science/Business or similar
- 10 or more years of experience in a highly analytical role
- 4 or more years of professional experience with visualization tools like PowerBI
- A mastery of Business Intelligence concepts and the ability to articulate these concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in business data modeling, metadata structure and business subject areas for key business processes
- Experience of successful and effective application systems leadership, project management, preferably within BI and CRM systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong business judgment and an ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner.
- Experience with Program/Project Management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Deep understanding of data issues and how to fix them
- Capable of back-end and data processing work necessary to power UIs.
- Ability to provide PowerBI training and end-user support
- Language Fluency – English (Written & Verbal)
- Minimal Travel Required (10%)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Big Data tools (e.g. Kafka, S3, data lake, Python, R)
- Foundries experience
- Field experience interfacing with customers and partners in the Semiconductor industry
- Ability to work for any US employer
- Active in the Microsoft Dynamics and/or PowerBI community
