Job Location: San Francisco, CA
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, resourceful, creative problem solver to join our Analytics department as an Intern during the Winter/Spring of 2023. This is a hybrid position. We’d like someone able to come into our San Francisco office part of the time.
This is a part-time role. At minimum, we are hoping to find someone who can work 20 hours a week. This role is ideal for a graduating senior looking for some work experience. There is a chance this role could lead to a full-time position on our Analytics Team, which is part of our Strategy Department.
This opportunity pays $22/hour and starts in early January, 2023.
Social Analytics Focus
We are looking for a lover of data who is also a creative thinker and dynamic storyteller.
The right person will have a keen interest in asking the right questions, analyzing data, deriving fascinating insights and then relaying those insights in a compelling and engaging way to a team of non-data types – in a way that even a five-year-old could understand.
Day-to-day activities could include:
- Aggregating and interpreting campaign and/or extant data
- Data mining and cleaning
- Basic statistical analysis
- Questionnaire programming and QA
- Preparing and analyzing cross-tabulations
- Conducting primary or secondary research to identify market trends, target audiences, or best practices across various clients and channels
- Collaborating cross-department on client deliverables
- Synthesizing results into clear and visually-pleasing dashboards, reports, and/or client presentations
Desired Qualifications:
- Majoring in psychology, economics, mathematics, biology, statistics, or engineering
- Experience and facility with Excel
- Experience working in social media and/or digital media is a plus
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills; should feel comfortable with data analysis and be able to use data to make decisions and tell a story
- Collaborative, flexible, and experience building relationships with internal groups
- Self-directed and able to work independently; should be comfortable with change and ambiguity
