Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with project management, customer consulting, and data analysis.
  • 5 years of experience managing distributed teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading/mentoring a high-performing team and managing analytical work in a sales or customer service environment.
  • Experience applying data driven insights and business judgment to prioritize business requests and allocate analytical resources.
  • Knowledge of SQL, databases, experimental design, predictive modeling, and advertising products.
  • Ability to influence and communicate/partner with executive/global cross-functional leaders.
  • Ability to problem-solve and synthesize data into useful formats and communicate actionable insights.
  • Excellent project management skills (i.e., handling multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines).

gTech’s Product and Tools Operations team (gPTO) leverages deep user, operational, and technical insights to innovate Google’s Ads products into customer experiences that are so intuitive (or automated) that they require no support at all. gPTO partners closely with gTech’s Support, Professional Services, Product Management, and Engineering teams to innovate and simplify our Ads products and build the productivity tools ecosystem for gTech users.

The Data, Architecture, Tools, and Analytics (gDATA) team leverages big data sets, analytical tools/techniques, and business partnerships to enable the gTech Ads business to provide an excellent customer experience and drive business decisions. As the Head of Business Analytics and Data Science, you will manage a team of business analysts and data scientists in providing analytical support and data-driven insights for gTech’s Professional Services (gPS) team. You will provide strategic thinking and leadership to drive the capabilities of our team.

In this role, you’ll also scale the team’s impact while coordinating operations.You will provide guidance on innovative techniques to leverage data science to estimate the impact of gPS solutions. Additionally, you will maintain close alignment with your business stakeholders’ priorities and help evolve ideas into growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Additional Information


(Colorado only*) Minimum salary range between $216,000 – $232,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. *Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of business analysts and data scientists to align with and maximize impact on organizational level strategy/goals.
  • Partner with leaders to develop an understanding of their business, data/metrics, and strategic challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide leadership to key business stakeholders by translating data into actionable metrics and insights to drive performance.
  • Identify and size opportunities for growth and efficiency by contributing to the strategic direction of the business.
  • Partner with other teams to ensure business requirements are clearly documented and delivered in line with expectations.
