JOB DESCRIPTION
Title/CODE: Coordinator – Quality Control/CRDQCTRL
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to Data Entry Manager- this position is responsible for monitoring quality control of information uploaded and/or entered into Safetrace from donation records, imaging and audit reports.
.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.
- Illustrate knowledgeability in all record review responsibilities and all requirements for Allogeneic and apheresis donations.
- Illustrate competency and application of deferral codes and periods to assist with reviewing of deferred donation records.
- Identify questionable and incomplete documentation on donation records.
- Process QIR’s and assist with investigations of assigned Quality Improvement Reports.
- Assist Data Entry Manager with developing and maintaining SOP’s related to record review, imaging and data entry procedures.
- Assist QC Monitor with daily summary review to identify discrepancies between donation records and computer entry.
- Assist with review of all Record Review closing duty reports
- Assist Product Assessment Specialist with ineligible donations.
- Review and resolve reported duplicate donor accounts.
- Assist NDTS and QA with investigations of reported ABO mismatches.
- Assist Donor Services and Medical Services with special procedure donors.
- Maintain Customer Service update requests from Commit for Life Department and outside vendors for corrections to donor demographic information.
- Assist Data Entry Manager with review of return mail.

Regular Hours
Full time: must be regularly available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, or such other days or hours per week as The Blood Center determines are necessary to meet business needs.
Overtime (applicable only to non-exempt positions)
Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or per week as The Blood Center determines is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
Weekend and Holidays
Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as The Blood Center determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires working knowledge of data entry of donor registration cards, deferrals and QIRs.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
