Job Detail:
Design, testing, provisioning, configuration and management of Google Cloud Platform and Azure Cloud infrastructure.
Continuous work towards improving availability, scalability and robustness of our platforms.
Ensuring security is at the core of the deployed infrastructure and products
Working collaboratively with software engineering teams to define infrastructure, security and deployment requirements.
Management and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters and associated infrastructure.
Building automation, tooling and self-service capabilities for the infrastructure provisioning and maintenance.
Driving innovation by researching and recommending industry-leading tools and best practices.
Be responsible for helping build, manage, support and improve these capabilities including all the normal DevOps type skills (automation, teamwork, continuous delivery etc) in our GCP/Azure and other cloud services.
The role requires a broad cross section of skills along with a strong consultative approach. It is collaborating with a global team to make sure that the right practices are in place and to take the lead on automating as far as possible.
Requirements:
3-8 years of DevOps or Cloud Platform related experience.
Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer Certification is mandatory.
Ambition to collaborate with Solutions Architects of a rapidly expanding organisation to put in place and execute DevOps processes.
Strong communication skills, ability to present and document processes and innovations.
High level of comfort in managing aspects of Automation, Monitoring, Pipelining (Kubeflow etc)
Experience working with Kubernetes.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience automating infrastructure tasks and processes, eg Terraform.
Scripting language or coding experience (including Python, Go, Shell, Bash) is desirable here.
A solid understanding of networking concepts, technologies, and protocols (TCP/IP, IPSec, HTTP, FTP, DHCP, DNS) and expertise with software build tools (GitHub, Jenkins etc).
A candidate should have a solid understanding of Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu and CentOS) and Private and Public Cloud Capabilities (OpenStack, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc)
