We are seeking a highly qualified DevOps Engineer at our Broomfield, Colorado location to support our current and next-gen quantum computers. Our group is responsible for providing a world-class team of physicists all of the tools they need to build and enhance our products. This developer will be on the software team, with an emphasis on supporting our operational environment. The ideal candidate would be a strong learner who can balance moving quickly with an emphasis on customer-ready deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software solutions that integrate and automate operations on our Quantum Computer hardware and software stack
- Propose and implement enhancements to our software systems that increase system stability, maintainability, and observability
- Work across a variety of technologies, constantly adapting to use the best tool for the job
- Leverage your expertise and work with others to spread DevOps best practices across the entire team
- Collaborate with a diverse team including Physicists, IT staff, and other engineering disciplines to solve a variety of problems
- Create high quality code in an R&D and rapid prototyping environment
- Drive automated and repeatable software deployment across our software stack
- Collaborate with software development team to ensure that released code is testable, deployable, and serviceable
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience (graduate experience included) in engineering, lab, or R&D environment
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience with Python, Rust, C++, or OOP language
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a DevOps or DevSecOps role
- Applicants for employment for this position must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Honeywell. (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)
WE VALUE:
- Masters/PhD degree in Computer Science or field related to Quantum Computing
- Detailed knowledge of virtualization technologies, Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, and/or similar tools
- Proficiency with: Redis, PostgreSQL, Influx, Grafana, Telegraf, RabbitMQ.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple data representations and data structures
- Experience integrating a diverse set of components including hardware and software, particularly in a fast-paced or laboratory environment
- Proficiency with software testing and deployment tools
- Experience developing code interfacing with laboratory equipment including sensors and controllers
- Knowledge of back-end server infrastructure, queues, messaging, databases, etc.
- Expertise developing software for Linux environments; proficiency in Windows environments
- Knowledge and practical experience with internet protocols (e.g., IP, TCP, NTP, DNS) and network troubleshooting

Estimated Salary Wage: $135,000.00 – $160,000.00
