Job Location: Bangalore/Bengaluru
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Sales Finance team in Bangalore, reporting to the director of International Sales Finance. In this role, you will support the APJ Sales team with forecasting, reporting, and analytics. You will also support the Worldwide Sales Finance team with worldwide finance, analytics, and bookings reporting projects.
You re the ideal candidate if you can analyze large volumes of data and effectively present your findings to decision-makers so they can easily understand the premise and take appropriate data-driven actions.
What you ll do:
- Support the APJ Sales team with forecasting, reporting, and analytics
- Own and drive periodic discount and productivity reporting
- Work closely with the U.S. Finance team to ensure consistency and collaboration in reporting requirements
- Work closely with the sales commissions team on analytical requirements and help ensure accuracy and consistency of the sales organization s reported results
- Assist with annual and long-range planning exercises by providing information for building financial models
- Track progress against key performance indicators and clearly communicate actionable findings to stakeholders
- Work closely with technology and corporate financial planning and analysis teams to provide relevant analytics requirements from time to time
- Partner with IT and associated functions to streamline, automate, and scale the reporting process on an ongoing basis
- Identify areas of improvement and design/implement solutions
- Ensure all reporting and analytics inquiries are prioritized appropriately and resolved properly
- Provide meticulous communication with teams globally and be flexible in supporting multiple time zones as required
What you ll bring:
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in financial planning with a strong desire to develop a career in financial planning and analysis
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to partner with the business to scale the company through a period of high growth
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
- High level of personal integrity, collaboration, and maturity, plus the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting all goals and deadlines
- Willingness to collaborate with Finance and other groups to quickly resolve problems
- A high level of independence, accountability, teamwork, good judgment, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic work environment
- Strong desire to tackle new challenges and projects with enthusiasm
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, plus exposure to software tools like Salesforce, Oracle Fusion, Tableau, or other CRM and data visualization tools a plus
- Flexibility to work across geographies/time zones
What success looks like:
After six months, you will
- Understand the APJ Sales key performance indicators and be seen as a partner to that team
- Produce key performance indicators reporting for leadership
- Begin improvement on reports and analytics to make them more efficient and useful to the organization
After about a year, you will
- Design and create new key performance indicators and reports to shift the sales team to a full SaaS/subscription model
- Own processes and analytics that benefit not only APJ sales but also the whole company
- Participate in Finance-and/or company-led projects
