JOB DESCRIPTION
A large healthcare company is seeking an experienced ETL developer to join its healthcare enterprise data warehouse team. This person will assist the team as they transition from a DB2 and Hadoop database to a GCP Big Query environment to take source data and load it to its final destination. They will work individually to receive requirements and from those, design and develop the needed code, then work with QA to test the code, finally moving through to implementation stages. This person will have the opportunity to learn new tools and technologies and should be open to working with different tools. In addition to this, they will also make improvements to the existing data repository processes and exchanges for efficiency and optimization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of Ab Initio for etl and Data Warehousing in parallel processing environment
- 5+ years total ETL experience with advanced SQL coding and querying in an enterprise setting
- 5+ years of experience shell scripting
- Experience with testing and debugging
- Background in Unix/Linux
DESIRED SKILLS
- 2+ years experience with Big Query, GCP
- Background with DB2
- Background in Healthcare/Insurance with working knowledge of Pharmacy, Claim and Member subject areas
- Experience with Hadoop, including HQL, sqoop, hive, spark, HDFS
- Experienced with python
