This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the world’s leading multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams working with Real World patient data to help our global client base answer their key business questions, make more informed decisions and deliver results. Our team’s offerings leverage machine learning algorithms for a variety of healthcare applications including finding undiagnosed patients with rare conditions or finding undertreated patients in a variety of disease indications. As part of this team, you will be at the forefront of evolving the team’s offerings while assuming the following responsibilities:

• Support the design and delivery of advanced statistical/machine learning projects: You will work closely with senior consultants and data scientist to translate the clients’ business needs into statistical methodologies and will be responsible for delivering the findings in clinically and commercially meaningful interpretations. Throughout the process you will apply problem solving and critical thinking, intellectual engagement, and maturity in communication.
• Support business development initiatives. You will be responsible for researching clients’ business problems and finding potential solutions through our machine learning offerings, while supporting proposals and client pitches. Throughout, you will work closely with internal stakeholders from around the business to ensure the proposed solution is truly innovative and provides an exciting value proposition to clients.
• Support and take ownership of various internal initiatives including project automation and standardization.

Skills

• BA/BSc preferably related to life sciences, chemistry, economics, business, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or computer science. A postgraduate qualification in life sciences, statistics or a related discipline is desirable although not essential
• Demonstrable analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills and ability to contribute to analytics projects so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high-quality deliverables
• A friendly professional demeanor and ability to excel in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate motivation and good judgment in taking initiative, working autonomously, and asking for assistance
• Excellent communication skills, a can-do, positive attitude, and the ability to communicate positively and effectively to a wide range of stakeholders
• Experience in healthcare/life sciences industry
• Experience or desire to upskill in the application of statistics/machine learning in healthcare/life sciences and/or pharmaceutical industry
• Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
• Knowledge or interest in key issues and current developments in the healthcare and life sciences industries
