Job Detail:
We are seeking a skilled data analyst to join our collaborative, exciting Quality Improvement (QI) and Research teams at Integrated Anesthesia Associates in Hartford, CT. Integrated Anesthesia Associates is the largest private practice Anesthesiology group in Connecticut, and we operate in several hospitals and surgery centers throughout the state. Our focus is on providing anesthesia services at the highest quality to our patients, and we are looking for a data analyst to assist us in capturing and presenting this quality information, with the goal to continuously improve our performance. We are seeking individuals with experience in the healthcare industry to organize, analyze, and present our multiple databases of patient information to various interested entities.
We collect millions of data points from all of our patients, which are collected from a variety of sources and stored in multiple locations. We are looking for someone who is facile in data extraction, analysis, and presentation. This position entails the following requirements:
- Ensure proper collection, security, organization and assist with compliance of gathering data for CMS MIPS metrics.
- Work with attending physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, research staff, and administrative staff on QI and research projects involving data collection and or analysis and or presentation.
- Provide feedback to the department on data analysis including progress and methods of improvement.
- Perform monthly analysis and publish reports of QI data imported from our MIPS recording database, ePreop, using established templates. Reports will be distributed to IAA Board of Directors via the QI Committee as well as individual department chairs.
- Work with the Hartford Hospital Analytics department to perform specific Benchmark, Registry, and SQL queries of the Epic database as directed by IAA leadership.
- Help design QI dashboards along with the HH IT and analytics teams to design and maintain easy to present data interfaces using the available tools of Qlicksense and Qlickview.
- Merge QI data from several locations (Epic, ePreop, Redcap, Riskconnect, Airtable, etc.) into a single source.
- Receive feedback from department chairs on results of their inquiry into hospital specific analyses.
- Creation of pareto charts of QI incidents.
- Collate data for reporting to Board of Directors via QI Committee.
- Attend periodic QI Committee meetings, research huddle, and other necessary meetings.
Although this job can be done remotely from time to time, it is expected to be in-person at least an average of 2-3 days per week.
We will support further training that will help improve the skill sets needed for this position, particularly in Epic data extraction and analytics.
