POSITION PURPOSE
To coordinate, compile, and manage utility data (in electronic format) and assist with regulatory compliance.
Principal Accountabilities
- Maintain, design, and improve electronic data collection systems and processes for use relative to the regulatory activities contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Association.
- Collect, input, and analyze various utility data.
- Generate various annual and ad hoc reports or summaries from various data sources.
- Perform special projects and conduct research on industry issues to assist the Director of Regulatory Affairs.

Skills And Abilities
Excellent computer skills are required with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite, especially SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, and Access. Excellent critical reading skills are needed. Great human relations and communications skills (verbal and written), including the ability to develop and present technical information. Skills in planning, directing, organizing, controlling, and coordinating data are required. The ability and desire to lead is required. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. The ability to develop and refine methods to minimize inaccuracies in data input and output processes.
Educational Development
On the job industry knowledge will be gained. Thorough knowledge of finance, accounting theory, economics, and general business, as would normally be acquired through a four-year college level course of study in one of the above fields, or through equivalent experience. Knowledge of research methodology and the use of computers in the process of data gathering are essential.
Physical, Mental, and Visual Effort
This position requires being in a seated position for continuous periods of times. Continuous mental and visual concentration requiring attention to detail and accuracy is very important. Must plan and lay out complex work. Tasks require constant alertness and considerable mental concentration due to degree of difficulty, irregularity, and variety. Stress associated with working with a great number of different personalities of the membership, work pace, and pressure.
Working Conditions
Primarily normal office environment. Some minimal travel (mostly in-state) may be required.
