This is an exciting opportunity to join Global Data Operations team! A key responsibility will be to implement next generation data pipelines across Global Marketing domains in a multi-cloud environment.
The candidate will do hands on design, prototyping and build of data pipelines for consumer capabilities, working with products owners, architects, data scientists and business partners. Develop a keen understanding of Data Operations challenges and factor these into code, decisions and recommendations for next generation delivery.
Data Engineer will forge collaborative partnerships across DataOps team and business leaders to build and scale the organizationโs use of advanced data engineering technologies to optimize our investments and predict market actions.
Responsibilities:
- Focus on execution & delivery of highly reliable, high-quality Marketing Data Products aimed at improving business value and data trust metrics
- Lead Consumer data engineering, building and improving next generation capabilities that drive business growth.
- Work closely with other data engineers, scrum master, product owner, data scientists & analytics leaders to understand needs of the business; clearly articulating the story of value created through data & technology.
- Challenge status quo – design & build data engineering capabilities that take advantage of advanced technology and architecture to deliver data-driven insights and solutions, with the focus on scalability, flexibility and reusability of the Data Products.
- Suggest and implement the best industry standards of Data Quality and Data Governance
- Drive prioritization and implementation of most appropriate combination of methodologies & frameworks to ensure optimization and effectiveness of the platforms, products & solutions.
- Be a guide and an inspiring leader of how data and technology come together to empower the business
- Forge trusted partnerships and be an integral part of Data Engineering, Data Architecture and Platforms teams to adopt, scale and build analytical solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree is required. A degree in a Technology, Computer Science, applied data sciences or other related fields; advanced degree in related fields preferred.
- 2+ years in IT space specializing in Data & Technology Architecture, Data Engineering and DataOps.
- Proficiency in examining issues, driving resolution & influencing effectively across the organization. Ability to challenge the status quo in technology & architecture.
- Superb interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists.
- Background or knowledge in one of the domains is required: Marketing, Consumer, Digital Media
- Hands-on experience with data & analytics technologies in a hybrid-cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake) and multi-functional environment
- Experience with Data Governance, Harmonization, Data Cataloging, Data Privacy, Data Quality principles, methodologies and industry standards is required
- Expertise in implementing Cloud-native and/or Python-based data pipelines is required
- Proficient in SQL, Data modelling, Data Management (SQL Workbench, dbt)
- Experience with various data engineering tools, programming languages, data acquisition techniques (API, file, stream, event) and data platforms is required
- Passion to define reliable data architecture to address data challenges: different granularity, data gaps, sophisticated matching logic, multi-language, structured & unstructured; harmonization & normalization of data.
- Practitioner of Agile methodology; ability to define and implement prototypes and MVPs / RATs, experience working in Scrum/Kanban is required.

This position may require up to 10% travel.
