This Data Analytics role is an individual contributor who should be able to apply quantitative and analytical skills to complex problems. He/she should be able to work across teams to design, develop, evaluate and execute analytical solutions with a keen functional understanding of the business problem. He/she will be responsible for data wrangling, data analysis, modeling, and deep understanding of the data to provide actionable insights.

The position will serve as a thought leader including understanding our OKRs and KPIs, providing and dissecting metrics, and identifying opportunities for improvement. The role works on critical processes that must meet regulatory and audit standards. It is an opportunity to have meaningful impact on a large scale at a leading financial services firm.

Role Expectations

  • Work closely with, and manage stakeholder relationships to help determine and drive analytics to provide clear insights
  • Help to develop repeatable analytics & tools geared toward efficient trending and actionable information
  • Manage multiple analytics deliverables according to timelines and budget.
  • Stay abreast of new tools and technologies to assist the team in creating the most efficient and effective data solutions.
  • Regularly provide views and perspectives on data analytics applicability across various forums and audiences.
  • Proactively research multiple and diverse data sources, recognize relevant variables and data points, and transform them into metrics and attributes to creatively represent the business
  • Partner with technical subject matter experts, understand our technological environment and recommend viable end-to-end solutions
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze data, comprehend and explain the story it represents
  • Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues concisely

Skills and Capabilities

  • Experience across broad range of modern analytic and data tools
  • Excellent problem solving, communications, and teamwork skills
  • Practical expertise and work experience with Machine Learning
  • Background in ITIL processes of Change, Release, Incident and Problem Management is helpful
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Technology (MIS, Comp Science), Business, or related discipline
  • 7+ years of related Data Analytics experience.
  • Experience working with large complex data sets, drawing conclusions and reporting findings
  • Detailed knowledge of technology infrastructure and databases, and associated risk and controls.
  • Basic knowledge of Data Management principles
  • Experience designing and developing dashboards and visualizations, focused on telling the story
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and partnership skills
  • Ability to critically think and problem-solve successfully
  • Ability to oversee, and deliver on several tasks concurrently
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability
  • A high level of professional maturity and the ability to work/deliver with limited supervision
