Who we are?

The CIB Sales Chief Data Office (CDO) is dedicated to enhancing and transforming the data and analytical capabilities to support and enable data driven insights and decisions across the Sales organization in Markets. Data Strategy and Experimentation Business Insights group within Sales will focus on strategizing and executing the data transformation agenda through innovative strategies and industry-leading data products and analytics that best serve our long term vision. The group will also focus on exploring and prioritizing experimentation hypothesis and use-cases that could drive valuable insights.

What will you be working on?

Strategy Development

  • Transform the data and analytical capabilities through strategic execution and delivery to drive data driven insights and decision making in the Sales organization
  • Create forward-looking data product execution plans; Develop roadmap ensuring integration with the organization’s business plans
  • Lead identification and articulation of innovation opportunities. Identify and prioritize experimentation hypothesis and use-cases that could drive valuable insights

Thought Leadership

  • Apply industry leading data management techniques and methodologies to drive the data strategy and compliance (policies and standards) operating model; Design, structure, and own data products and solutions
  • Deep dive analysis of the current data and analytics landscape – data architecture, hierarchies, quality, lineage, metadata, and governance, to identify opportunities, risks, and challenges and propose and own strategic and tactical solutions.
  • Closely monitor industry trends and fintechs to update our strategy and execution

Execution & Delivery

  • Partner with senior business and tech stakeholders to shape up business and technical requirements; bridge the technical and business organizations and ensure we are building strategic data products with a combination of market/user/competitor research and metrics.
  • Partner with tech to help build foundational data products that drive data and analytical solutions (e.g. data catalog, dictionary, taxonomies)
  • Partner with other Sales Product Managers to define and deliver a holistic sales experience
  • Own and maintain overall accountability for implementing the roadmap of initiatives across partners and stakeholders
  • Lead strategic review of solution development; provide clear and timely feedback to ensure business and technology solutions are delivered on-strategy
  • Lead or participate in project post-mortems; capture key learnings and develop case studies as appropriate
  • Manage and deliver on AIML experimentation use-cases: requirements (hypothesis testing), analysis, prioritization, and business impact metrics

Stakeholder Management

  • Influence partners on execution, delivery, and quality; influence stakeholders on key decisions and change efforts
  • Partner with numerous lines of business within the CIB to help drive the strategic execution. Key partnerships include and not limited to Sales, Products, CIB Chief Data Office, Quantitative Research, and Technology

Who are we hiring?

We are looking for leaders who are entrepreneurial, looking to drive data and analytical transformation, thrive in ambiguity and start-up culture, and who are focused on long term strategy and step-wise execution and delivery.

  • Bachelor’s degree and solid 7+ experience in data management and data domain business analysis, delivering technical and operational change
  • Experience in a Sales & Trading organization preferred (product manager, sales person, business manager, data analyst/engineer, data domain business analyst). Familiarity with Front-Office Data and Technology preferred.
  • Prior experience in roles and functions that are highly data-driven and that required understanding of data (data models, governance, quality, catalog, taxonomies), and technology architecture as related to business requirements, use-cases, and functional designs. Expertise in business analysis, functional requirements, use case design, data analysis disciplines is preferred
  • Innovative, capacity to think laterally, thought leadership, forward thinker with a good grasp of new technologies, competitive landscapes, marketplace, and regulatory environment
  • An outstanding ability to analyze problems with keen attention to the details, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and concisely, and work well in cross-functional teams
  • Strong collaborator and change agent who has demonstrated experience with influencing stakeholders to consider innovative solutions and leading analysis to support the decision making process.
  • Results-oriented with strong leadership skills and ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with changing and multiple priorities; ability to take ownership of tasks and manage an entire work-stream
  • Ability to support & adapt in a fast and dynamic environment; experience in Agile based programs (project and product management lifecycle)
  • It is a plus to have the following: statistical skills, advanced analytics, modeling, machine learning, programming language skills, knowledge of application, data, and cloud infrastructure architecture.
