Job Location: Chicago, IL

Quant Analysts combine data analytic skills with domain knowledge to drive strategic decisions across Chase payment products. They translate between analytic and non-analytic groups as well as facilitate holistic, cross-functional learning. They collaborate, learn, teach and disseminate knowledge across the D&A community.

We are seeking a senior Analyst/Associate who will be a key member of the Payments Analytics team within the broader Data and Analytics organization. You will work closely with Payments Product Owners to deliver insights using descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. In particular, you will strive to understand the problems, find solutions, and build consensus with Product Owners on all things customer engagement by defining metrics, sourcing data, developing queries, building models, creating reports and findings, and socializing results.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions
  • Create data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
  • Rationalize complex normalized data sets allowing for ease of cross org consumption
  • Partner with the LOB and broader D&A organization to understand business requirements and objectives

  • Intermediate knowledge of data cleansing and manipulation using SQL, Alteryx, SAS, and/or Python
  • Experience with Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle and SQL DBs
  • Adept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences of varying levels of expertise
  • Degree in quantitative or related field preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Customer Journey Analytics
  • Masters with 2+ years of analytics experience
  • Functional industry experience in operations, marketing, credit/risk, technology or finance
  • Intermediate knowledge of Machine Learning
