Job Location: Newark, DE

The Wholesale Risk Chief Data Office (WR CDO) team is looking for an Associate level candidate to support delivery of WR CDO mandates related to the Data Risk Management Policy and Standard, assist in implementation of CDO strategy and partner with various stakeholders across the firm to build data governance capabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with various functions across Wholesale Risk overseeing delivery of Firmwide Data Management and WR CDO initiatives coupled with standard BAU activities.

This is a high impact role that will require an ability to leverage Risk Management experience, multitask and deliver simultaneously on various initiatives.

  • Assist Wholesale Risk Lead in implementing and maintaining Data Quality Framework.
  • Monitor progress against established goals and milestones
  • Contribute to the development, management and monitoring of project plans
  • Support WR CDO communication strategy
  • Provide status updates to stakeholders and escalate risks/issues to leadership as needed
  • Prepare and deliver effective presentations and updates to the team, leadership and stakeholders
  • Identify and escalate risks, issues and dependencies impacting project execution
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with WR CDO stakeholders
  • Identify, evaluate and drive operational improvements across WR CDO team
  • Develop and maintain process and control documentation (e.g., standard operating procedures, process flows, data flows)
  • Actively participate and contribute to working groups and forums

Qualification and Skills Required:

  • 1-5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in one of the following areas: Finance, Risk Controller, Internal/External Reporting, Business analysis, Data Governance, Project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective credible relationships with business and technology partners.
  • Experience supporting/ delivering strong governance and oversight across line of business and risk disciplines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to lead projects with minimal oversight.
  • Familiar with PowerPoint basics and storytelling for senior audiences.
  • Solid understanding of Risk reporting processes, infrastructure and systems; Conceptual understanding of relational databases and data modeling would be advantageous
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as QlikView, Alteryx is useful
  • Effective change management skills – ability to support & adapt within a changing environment
  • Self-starter, able to work autonomously, with strong time management skills; efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high standard
  • Basic understanding of the company’s business practices and familiarity with the company’s products and services
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Finance related bachelor’s degree preferred

WR CDO oversees and governs Data Risk Management framework which proactively identifies and monitors emerging and existing risks, establishes and maintains effective controls and governance to mitigate data risks arising from inappropriate, incorrect or unauthorized provision/ consumption, classification, storage, retention and disposal of data.
