The Financial Data Analyst Intern will perform various tasks supporting our ability to achieve a world class internal audit team while building and retaining an internal knowledge of Labcorp’s global operations. Further, this position will support efforts to strengthen Internal Audit’s data analysis capabilities in monitoring LabCorp’s global internal control environment.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
- Utilize Tableau and other methods to visualize data
- Utilize Alteryx to structure large data sets to find usable information
- Analyze business and audit risks related to financial processes and systems;
- Draft audit issues and observations resulting from data analysis in a constructive manner to discuss with the Auditee
- Prepare other consultative reports to support business partners in their evaluation of big data sets
- Support the management of special projects resulting from customer requests or the internal audit findings, at the direction of the Director, Internal Audit
Qualifications
A rising junior or senior undergraduate in data sciences or pursing a Master of Science degree Attend a training course on basic auditing skills, if required Coding skills in languages such as SQL, Python and/or R is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
