Basic Purpose
The Security Governance & Risk (SG&R) Analytics team is responsible for compiling, computing, managing, and presenting data in a meaningful and consistent manner as it relates to Security Programs. Our team performs full stack data analytics including API calls/SSIS packages to acquire data, staging data in a SQL Server, and finally presenting it via PowerBI. Our wholistic cyber metrics enable executives to make actionable decisions on enterprise strategy to safeguard our systems and protect our members.
The responsibilities of this Summer Associate will consist of leveraging advanced mathematics, programming, and tools such as statistical modeling to perform large-scale analysis as it relates to Information Security data.
The Summer Associate Graduate Intern Program is a 10+ week graduate internship program beginning in May 2023 and ending in August 2023. The intention of this program is to hire graduate interns who prove their aptitude into full time roles following graduation. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a graduate or PhD level degree from an accredited college or university with an anticipated graduation date of December 2023 or later.
Responsibilities
- Assess the cyber security field to identify best practices, shifting trends, and areas of opportunity for data insights
- Become integrated into and participate in the day-to-day strategy, analysis, and operations of the team
- Develop recommendations for strategic initiatives or program changes that the Security organization could/should pursue based on findings, support recommendations with data and empirical evidence, and develop a roadmap or action plan as applicable
- Proactively create forecasting models
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Applied Analytics, Data Science, or other related degree
- Experience with research, analysis, and data manipulation
- Experience using data and analytic tools including: PowerBI, SQL Server, Python
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Comfort working with large datasets and telling stories with data
- Ability to work independently and think outside of the box
- Strong strategic, critical, and analytical thinking skills
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity a plus

Salary Range: $41.00 – $46.00 hourly
